Nagoya Airport is in Aichi Prefecture, which is the largest industrial prefecture among the 47 prefectures of Japan. The shipment value of industrial products from Aichi Prefecture has been the largest in Japan for about 40 years, accounting for about 15% of all industrial shipment value in Japan.
